Reflecting on 2024

Reflecting on 2024

Best wishes for the festive season and thanks for your business in 2024

What a year it’s been! 2024 wasn’t only the year of a rather wet Paris Olympics, it was a year sprinkled with a number of eventful election campaigns, it saw the internet melt down over the Oasis comeback and it has also been another year of successes at Jee, and I am hugely proud of all the staff.  Here are highlights:

We broke new ground in the North Sea with a first-of-its kind use of Zap-Lok technology. The project is led by our head of Design, John French and shows our industry-leading minds at work. Once installed, the system – which uses a simple push-fit system that negates the use of machined connectors or welding – could set a trend for lower-cost pipelines, allowing marginal fields to be developed at a more attractive price.

Our new Netherlands office and Jee Nederland B.V. are now fully up and running.

We have introduced flow assurance, process engineering and brownfield mods with the arrival of our expert Flow Assurance team, Amir and Hasib.

We have continued with our support for a major client in the Caspian, providing technical assurance for intelligent pigging – continuing a hugely productive partnership that is now in its sixth year.

We provided technical pigging representatives to oversee the installation of a remote isolation plug as part of a pipeline disconnect project in a major gas network in the North Sea.

We are conducting a lifetime extension project focussing on 17 pipelines in the Dutch sector, some of them from the 1970s, around 50 years old.

Thanks to the Jee team for making this happen – looking forward to 2025!
